The Weather in Amsterdam...
What to pack? What to wear? What to expect.
Bring rain gear. Dutch drizzle is standard throughout the year so there is not much point trying to avoid it. Spring is flower season, making Amsterdam quite beautiful and, thus, hordes of tourists share mild springs and summers together. Only if you are willing to tough out bitingly cold winters can you reap the benefits of a sparsely touristed Amsterdam. Museums are nearly empty during the winter season, and, while the nipping cold may discourage some, let's not forget that winter brings ice skating galore!
